Background and Experience:
Dr. Bauerschmidt has wide and varied experiences in Emergency Medicine. He has served as Director of Emergency Services for several hospitals and health care entities. He has practiced in five different states as well as overseas in Saudi Arabia. His range has been from the “simple country doctor” (if he couldn’t do it, it didn’t get done), through the “big city”
super-specialist in a regional trauma center. Past accomplishments include changing policies and practices at a large medical center to be collaborative instead of coercive, improving patient satisfaction scores, exceeding JCAHO quality benchmarks and building a department recognized by hospital administrations for their teamwork and simple joie de vivre.
Dr. Bauerschmidt’s medical experience together with his Business Education has made him especially adept at helping clients go from the “organ based” or silo approach to the big picture, system based approach to problem solving. He can at once be attuned to the small problems his clients are experiencing while seeing how it all fits together into the overview of their desired outcome.
Education and Credentials:
Following graduation from Ohio State University College of Medicine, Dr. Bauerschmidt obtained duo certifications by both the American Board of Family Practice as well as the American Board of Emergency Medicine. He is recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians.
Dr. Bauerschmidt has broadened his education with an MBA degree from the University of South Florida. He has completed the
Co-Active Coaching curriculum offered through the Coaches Training Institute.
He makes his home with his wife and son in South Florida where he enjoys scuba diving and underwater photography ---- swimming
among the sharks is something he relishes.
